A blessing and a curse

We're on the road! Slinky and I started our journey today. I started the day with meeting Mike for breakfast. I wanted Slinky to stay in the car but he demanded to come in for a cup of joe. Well he had other intentions; Mike and Slinky had a slight disagreement about who should eat Mike's omelet.

I was lucky with my timing today. I was able to drive through the Great Smokey Mountains during autumn. Driving through the mountains with all the changing foliage was a really eye pleasing leg of my trip. I've heard this drive was very nice and I whole heartedly agree. This drive would be wonderful on a motorcycle.

Slinky demanded that we stop so he could "stretch his spring." It just happens that when we stopped there was a Bass Pro Shops there. I didn't want him getting into a tangle, so I stopped for his benefit (as we all know, once a Slinky gets into a tangle all hope is lost).

We made our nightly stop here in Cookeville, TN. I made sure and got a room with two beds so Slinky could be comfortable and the idea of him sleeping in my bed gives me the creeps (those aren't pillows!!!).

I forgive you Slinky...If only you would come back home I would buy you all the omelets you could eat!
